The experience of driving a fast car has always been considered as a great gift for a relative or friend, but just recently the demand for such gifts has been picking up speed – so to speak. After all, few people would turn down the opportunity to own a classic car for the day, and what boy (or girl) racer wouldn’t want to test a race course out at gravity defying speeds?
There are literally hundreds of different types of driving experience days to choose from, there’s something for every adrenaline junky to try. Probably the most famous day packages revolve around supercars, revving engines, fast and furious speeds and a thrill like no other, visitors can whizz around big name circuits behind the wheel of any number of expensive cars; Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche, and some tracks offer all three as an option. Other popular destinations include rally driving courses, suited to drivers who prefer to get off the beaten track and are looking for a bit more rough and tumble than most circuits can provide. Rest assured, you’ll be in safe hands, reputable businesses provide only custom made cars, specially prepared for the off road tracks, and experience, qualified instructors accompany every new driver.
Sometimes the high speeds of the race courses just don’t provide enough of an adrenaline rush for some thrill seekers, and there are other avenues to be explored if it’s a real challenge they’re after. Amateur stunt artists are catered for at venues across the UK and further afield. Qualified tutors will take in pupils at ‘stunt school’ and teach them some of the vital skills they could use if they really want to get into the industry – or if they just want to feel the buzz of making a hand break turn in a safe environment.
